Our unbeatable team longevity and dedication reflects the value we place on relationships, it also explains the reliable quality of our craftsmanship.    Our crew consists of seasoned, full- time employees.    They are not simply on the payroll as itinerant laborers, they have been hand selected and company certified.    Many of our fine suppliers, specialty tradesmen and artisans have been with our team for years as well and share our same high standards for quality and performance.    We believe our team longevity ensures the highest possible quality control, start to finish and beyond.

Mike Jankowski founded his full service custom building company in 1975 after working with other local contractors for several years.    A National Merit Scholar Qualifier with a penchant for math and engineering, Mike discovered at an early age that home construction was a perfect melding of his aptitudes.    The first eight years saw the construction of many authentic log homes, quite in vogue at the time, exciting and very physical work.    Over time, as the company experienced greater demand for frame construction, Mike changed gears to meet the needs of local home owners.    Mike does not "lead from the office”, he is a craftsman as well as a contractor and works in the field, over-seeing all projects, every day, and is always accessible by cell phone. The company focuses on one home at a time.    No matter the size, each project gets the same attention to detail and creative energy.

Mike Brooks has been with the company since 1978 and is our custom cabinet maker and creator of fine finish trims and mill work.    His family has been involved in wood working and boat building since Green Lake’s earliest days!    Rod McDonald is our lead carpenter and has been with us since 1985.    In addition to this, 4 other full-time carpenters are on staff.

Julie Jankowski, who has a degree in education, joined the crew as an office manager after meeting and competing against Mike on Green Lake’s sailing courses in 1976! Mike and Julie married in 1978, and since then, Julie has also handled Client Care and the materials selection process.    Their three, grown children are proud of the fact that both sides of their family have been full time or summer Green Lake residents for over five generations!    Indeed, a lot of home-town pride goes into every home built.    And yes, Jankowski Construction certainly does understand the lake-home dream.
